GENERAL FUNCTION DESCRIPTION

The Team Manager Operations is responsible for all contributions and project assignments. Together with the assigned (senior) Project Manager, he/she ensures that the project objectives are delivered within the requirements of timing, budget and quality and strives to exceed customer expectations. The Team Manager therefore plays a crucial role in the development of project-based culture within the client organization which includes the implementation of the strategic objectives of the client with respect to added value for customers based on Industrial Excellence.

The Team Delivery Manager will also be responsible for and active in three roles:

1. the operational management line for project implementation, operational management of employees on his/her project or account and the development of accounts and sales support.

2. As hierarchical manager he/she will be active in coaching and supervising employees who report to him/her.

3. As a development manager he/she will work on increasing the knowledge and service extension within the client base as a whole.

 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Bachelor or Masters working / thinking level • Fluent in English & Dutch; German or French is a bonus • 5 years relevant work experience in industrial environments • Experience with selling more work consulting assignments and the development of accounts • Knowledge of and experience with change management in production environments, and technical asset management environments • Experience with large industrial environments and industry-specific experience in the field of Petrochemical, Chemical, and Manufacturing is an absolute advantage. • Experienced business partner at Senior Management & Board levels at customer’s as well at the client’s, with a focus on account development and relationship management. • Track record in executing and converting analysis and project driving system behavior is central. • Well developed business acumen.

• Critical towards own performance and that of his/her colleagues and prepared to initiate a debate on this • Travel license • Willing to travel, do what is necessary to obtain results

 

RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS AND ACTIVITIES

Project realization

Along with colleagues, implement the project assignments responsibly, partaking in all aspects of execution. The project assignments are in the full range of services as offered by the client. Account Management - together with the responsible account manager from sales, maintaining networks and high quality customer relationships and promoting existing customers. The focus is to further develop the current needs and create leads. Staff Management - in accordance with the described process of managing employees. This concerns both the operational management through the (primary) line of the employees on the projects managed through the hierarchy (secondary) of the assigned employees. Improving margins made by the employees (both as individual projects) are an important part. Events - actively participate in exhibitions, master classes, events, trade unions. Reporting - Registering, reporting and analyzing one’s own performance in order to compare one’s own performance in respect to goals and objectives of the organization and, where necessary, to allow adjustment.

 

Quality & Development

Collectively develop the client’s propositions in order to maintain a high quality content of the solutions as offered to the customers. As Operations Manager you must critically and proactively assess the quality and content of all project assignments (both under your own responsibility as well as your colleagues’) and drive adjustments where necessary.

 

Sales support

Within your position you are expected to give substantive support in the sales process, in addition to actually creating potential jobs based on the operational work. It is also expected that you take a leading role in performing analysis and cooperate with relevant colleagues to convert to sales orders.
